Supporting Enrolled Families
For our Only About Children Families
We know there’s a lot of information surrounding childcare enrolment. At Only About Children we endeavour to keep our families up to date. You’ll find all of the information you need to support your journey with us below, including starting out, enrolment options, children’s health and keeping in touch.
Starting with us – orientation
When, where and how?
Your child’s first experience at your chosen campus is orientation – and it’s a great opportunity to familiarise your whole family with life at Only About Children.
Close to your child’s start date, your Campus Director will be in touch to set up a time for this. We only ask that you complete one 30-60 minute session, though we do recommend coming in several times if possible. After all, the more time your child spends at our childcare centre with you there for reassurance, the more confident they’ll feel when they commence care.
What happens on the day?
Orientation is all about building a relationship with the Educators who will take care of your child, and getting to know the campus.
You and your child will have the opportunity to:
- Meet your child’s Room Leader, Educators and Campus team
- Talk through specific needs your child may have, including allergies, medical conditions, and sleep preferences
- Familiarise yourself with the environment, including practical things like where your child’s bag goes
Enrolment Information
Our enrolment options provide flexibility to support families with the security of ongoing bookings and the ability to adapt to additional care needs when required.
At Only About Children we offer flexibility of childcare with three different arrangements available: from extra casual days to occasional care and sessional care.
You’ll have the ability to update your personal details and request changes to your bookings, through our app, Xplor.
You’ll find more detailed enrolment information about our flexible options here.
Child Care Subsidy
Only About Children is a registered childcare provider which means that eligible families can claim the Government benefit relating to your childcare.
What is the Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is designed to help make early learning and childcare more accessible for a large number of Australian families. Child Care Subsidy will generally be paid directly to your approved childcare provider/s to reduce the fees you pay.
For more information on the Child Care Subsidy, and links to tools you can use to calculate your eligibility, see our Child Care Subsidy Information page.
Your Child’s Health
We want all our children to stay healthy and happy. Here’s what you need to know to help us to keep it that way.
