Our Campus Director - Erika
I undertook the position of Director at Oac St Ives in May 2017. The team have made me feel so welcome and are all dedicated and professional children’s educators. The campus is reasonably small, warm and welcoming and I love working here.
Prior to taking on this role I was the Preschool Floor Manager at Oac Seaforth for several months after completing a 12 month maternity leave Director role at Oac Warriewood. I been employed at Oac for almost 10 years, working as an Early Childhood Teacher for the majority of this time.
My Bachelor of Education is from UTS Kuring gai and I have work as an early childhood teacher and primary school teacher for over 30 years. Teaching has been a great joy to me and I continue to learn from the children, other educators, courses and networking to build on my skills and knowledge.
During this time I have brought up three children of my own, one of whom has now almost completed her Bachelor of Education, and also works for Oac. My other daughter has a Business Degree and my youngest, a son is still thinking about what he would like to do with his life. Working with young children requires lots of stamina and I keep myself fit by doing regular gym classes and walking. I love travelling, reading, socialising with friends and family, as well as watching movies.
I am proud of the St Ives campus and team of Educators, and welcome all families to our multicultural, friendly and educationally progressive campus.
