Our Campus Director, Mardi
I am passionate about bringing out the best in the children, families and colleagues I work with, and believe in order for us to have high expectations for children, we need to have high expectations for ourselves.
Our role as early childhood educators is to cultivate curious minds in order to assist children for what is and what is yet to come. I am studying the Bachelor of Education Early Years (Honours) at Monash University part-time, which allows me to deepen my knowledge of early childhood development, theories and concepts, which I use to inspire and motivate early childhood educators. I have over 13 years experience in the early childhood industry, from a family day educator, 3+ year old playgroup coordinator, inclusion support facilitator, family day care and occasional care team leader for City of Boroondara, professional support consultant for Community Child Care and managing a number of private long day services.
My hopes for Brighton East is to build a successful centre with a strong reputation, by building, shaping and forming a solid team of passionate educators. I look forward to developing a communities of practice with the team, to develop leaders who lead learning and teaching with their colleagues, in order to help the children reach their full potential. I am also looking forward to meeting the Brighton East team and getting to know their strengths and skills.
